You Don’t Have to “Fight” Depression

Many people, doctors and patients alike, attempt to “fight disease,” thinking there’s a bad thing we’ve got to attack and overcome. This just creates more resistance and fear in the body, a factor shown to worsen disease. What we resist, persists. Nowhere is this more evident than with chronic depression, where we feel we’re being attacked and oppressed, and feel like to surrender would mean we succumb to the “enemy.”
